Darkkit stretched as she woke up and tried running out of the camp to see what lay beyond the nursery.

Darkkit looked at him and froze. She saw him coming and bolted towards the Thunderpath. She was in the still running across it when a monster roared past. Darkkit lay on the Thunderpath, unmoving.

Lightingface ran to her, picked her up and pulled her off the thunderpath. "Darkkit? Darkkit?" She said poking the kit with her paw.

Darkkit groaned. "I'm fine!" she said, trying to get up. She got up and ran as fast as she could, limping. She ran until she reached a river, and carefully crossed it. She didn't care where she was going as long as she could see more of the forest.
