Lightningface waited for darkpaw so they could go do battle training.

Darkpaw padded over to him. "You wanted me?"

"Yes. We're going to do battle training." Lightningface said. "Let's go to the training place."

Darkpaw followed him, not showing excitement to finally start fighting.

"Here." Lightningface said. " Try coming up to me and swiping your paws out to knock me over. You have to be quick, though."

Darkpaw almost didn't hear the last bit as she went for Lightningface. She swiped her paws, and knocked him over.

Lightningface dodged the blow with a quick sidestep. " Good, but in a battle, your opponent will be expecting you. Quicker." She said.

"How can they expect it?" Darkpaw asked. "You did because you told me." She charged at her, quickly running behind her and knocking her down. Darkpaw quickly got on Lightningface's belly and held a paw to her throat.

Lightningface clawed at Darkpaw's belly (claws sheathed), then used her hind legs to push her off. " Great, and an opponent will expect you because it will be a battle, unless you come from behind."

Darkpaw nodded, and ran at her again. This time, she tried to surprise Lightningface. She charged at her, then slid under her, dust flying and clawing at her belly.

Lightningface twisted around, jumping on Darkpaw. She pinned her back legs down with her own back legs.

Darkpaw hit Lightningface in the head, so hard it knocked her down. Darkpaw stood back up, and pounced, clinging to Lightningface's back.

Lightningface fell over backwards,squishing Darkpaw. Then she flipped over pinning do Darkpaw. "Okay. That was etremely good." Lightningface looked up. The sun had almot set. " Let's get back to camp." She said.

Darkpaw sighed, but crouched. "One more try?" she asked.

Darkpaw used her back feet to claw at his belly (sheathed claws), and flipped him off her. She pounced on him, and got him in a killing blow.

Lightningface scrambled away and then jump omn her holding all of her paws down.

Darkpaw reached up to bite her, but finally lightly bit her paw and got out from Lightiningface's grip.

Darkpaw smiled and padded back to camp. She got a frog to eat.
